Default Dyno question

What are the ambient temps. of the room air and could they be cool enough to show any gains which would not be there with the closed engine room temps .What would be a normal engine room temp?Do they keep motor temps. the same on the dyno as we do on the water say 140-160 non blower. Also I hope to put a closed system on this time can I bring the temps. up to say 180*? James

This will vary from cell to cell, and operator to operator. A dyno is only a guage vs. itself, so the more variables you have the less accurate you will be. You can change the HP a lot dynoing in the winter vs. summer. We set our cell up so we have climate controlled Temp., and Humidity. This way the only variable is the Barometric pressure. (way to expansive to control) We also try to keep engine temps within 5 degrees when doing comparison work.
