Default Engine not level?

After installing my new headers (Eickert) I see that my engine is not level. I had SM exhaust on before with short risers and never noticed it then. On the port side the the tail pipe line up with the hole in the transom; however, on the starboard side the pipe is about 3/4" lower than the transom holes... The engine seems to be aligned but it seems that the engine should be aligned with the transom holes as well. I measured the holes and they're cut correctly. Is this something I should look into or is this normal?

If you are using wedges under your risers I would check that first make sure they are not backward .

If you rotate the low tail 180 on the manifold will it then line up with the transom cutout??

I'm not using wedges and I can't rotate it.. The Water tube is on the top and will only go on one way. I'm wondering if I lower the high side a bit and raise the low to balance the engine... I would really rather not do that because it was a pain in the A#$ to get aligned the last time. But if its not right I need it to be.

How is the motor sitting on your rear transom plate mounts? I'd think the motor should be sitting evenly on them 1st, otherwise the rear of the motor will be too high.

Presuming what US1 said is correct on your install, you could machine the mounting surface of the tail where it mounts to the manifold on a proper angle to fix the problem.

I'll have to look at the mounting bracket on the rear of the engine... I'm pretty sure its level back there... The machining of the tail plate is a good idea, That just may fix the issue as well if the engine is correct. Your full of good idea's Blue Thunder!

I installed the KEs on my twin bravo setup a few years ago, so I had all the same issues. Mine were too close together though. I hogged out the transom at the time but have since installed a new transom and made them perfect. I didn't think at the time I could machine the tailpipe bases. My ignorance, your gain )
