camshaft id
How about this one ? The only number on the camshaft is one on the backside. It is 01 96 0196 i think it is a mercuiser one but how about the specs? it is out of a 600sc Who knows ? Thx Greg

I don't know the specs for the 600sc cam, but the are listed in the Merc HP3 Manual.

Providing you can verify the lobe lift it is relatively easy to identify the camshaft. If the cam is still in the engine use a lifter and dial indicator. If out of the engine, use V blocks. The lift, on both intake and exhaust should be .329”, at the lobe. If this is correct, sent over an email and I will provide you with the cam card. To avoid any potential confusion, this is the flat tappet core, not the roller core from the 600 SCI, correct? Bob |
