Can anyone say they have ran BBC solid rollers on a cam with at least .650 lift/260 duration @.050 and can get 100 hrs service life as a minimum? If so, what kind of spring pressure/lifter? Would appreciate any info.

I've got a solid roller, ( .714" ) and have been told to replace lifters every 50 hours. I just changed valve springs to reduce spring pressure . I'm now down to 240 on the seat and 580 over the nose. I run a Comp cams endurance/marine lifter. I figure I will change or rebuild the lifters once a season (usually 50-60 hrs)
I think trying to push it to 100 could be asking for trouble. There are other factors other than spring pressure to worry about. For one the more you idle the harder it is on the lifter.
