Default Engine Hours

If I leave my key in the on position and my hour meter goes up does it also change the hours on the ECM?

Thats a good one. I left my key on one motor last year for about two hours.Do those two hours show on the ECM scan even though it wasn't running?

If your Hr meeter is wired up like it should be then the hours will not show on the hr meeter either. Many are not wired correctly. In either case it will not show up on the ecm.
