Talking More prop testing and results...need advice

I tested out the 25p mirage + yesterday....was not impressed!

The quicksilver 21p went 72mph @ 5,950rpm. (very little prop blow-out and went pretty straight)

The mirage + 25p went 68mph @ 4,850rpm. (a lot of prop blow out getting it on plane and was chine walking pretty good at 68mph)

The bravo 22p (4-blade) went 70mph @ 5,650rpm. (no blow out and pulled harder in the mid range).

Any suggestions at this point would be helpful. I am looking for a prop that doesn't blow out like the mirage + and that I can possibly get a couple more mph out of. I would like to keep the rpm at around 5,400rpm w.o.t. 72 mph isn't bad...but I'm like most boat owners and am always looking for more!

The boat is a 89 warlock euro24, the motor is a 454 (Approx hp is 430-450hp if that helps) and I run a bravo 1x drive. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

A bravo 1 24p should drop your rpms 300-400 from the info from the 22p. I think Bam Marine.com has a prop calculator that will help you can put in your info and figure your slip also

what you saw is pretty normal I think....on my checkmate, the bravo 1 24 was best handling, smooth, mid range...but the mirage+ was about 2 mph faster on top end...so the trade off is your decision....

You might try a 21 Rev 4. Boats that can run Mirages generally respond well to them. Speed is usually similar to a Mirage but with a lot less slip.

A 23 Mirage Plus will more than likely put you in your rpm range. Call BBlades, they may have another prop that will work better on your boat.
