I agree with long risers that should have no problem. I have a few more deg of duration and 112 LSA. Bob did my cam also :drink: Maybe a tooth off on the timing chain. Did you get the Rollmaster chain? How is it running, if it is not fast then you have somthing wrong. Good luck, when he gets back in the shop I am sure he can point you in the right direction.

Thanks for the link to the pics. From those pictures and the mild specs on the camshaft I don't think your problem is a reversion problem. Just another couple of questions though, was the camshaft dialed in? what type of tips out the transom or flappers are in the system after the 10" riser exhaust tube extensions? don't see anything in the pics that cover that.

We set the cam shaft at 0 with the after market new timing chain and adjustable sprocket, we degreed the cam and everything checked out.
I also read that since lobe seperation is 114 and centerline is 110 that it means it is 4 degrees advanced from factory. It has flappers on the back, the pipes stick out about 4 inch from transom... i havent drove the boat since we put in extensions... I have drove it once for 2 hours after replacing head gasket and intake gasket bc of the milky oil, and it still had milky oil so we are trying the ten inch pipes. |

oops - posted in wrong thread.

Boat ran great today, no milky oil in valve covers, swabbed my finger all inside the valve covers...Had motor running at least 4 hours... 10" pipes solved water in oil issue problem..
|
Ok so thankfully your oil in water issue was solved.
Bigger question what is that bad boy running now? |
I'm seeming to get the rpm i should, i just ordered a new entire distributer bc old one was only going to about 27 total degrees at 3000+ rpm, so ill get the advance to 34 and hopefully gain some rpm, but with 6 ppl on board on way back from miami boat races did 63mph at 4850 rpm with a labbed 23 mirage.. What are you running?
