Default 89 292 Deck Graphics Opinion.

I'm getting ready to do something with the paint on the deck of my 292. The more I think about it the more I think I'm going to just sand off the old paint and leave the deck all white. I think this paint graphic dates the boat. However it would be easy to repaint whats there now, as I have the pattern. Once its sanded off, it will obviously be gone. What are some opinions on this?

i would re do the graphics to what is there now . . . . an 100% of the people currently agree with me

I always liked the Formula graphics. If you leave the sides alone and just take off the deck graphics it will look like somethings missing. just my two cents

Thanks Dave! Thats why I asked, I'm torn on what way to go! What do you think about the rub rail (its missing). I'm thinking about going white and using the TACO V21-3671WHA20D2. A firend of mine was telling me that some of the boats of this era that have done this don't look quite right because the white on the rub rail is brite white and the boat is just white. What is your take on this.

I saw that boat up close before you bought it and can't believe how much better it looks already. Really glad to see that you are going to restore her. I personally like the white rub rail vs. the black rub rail. I'm thinking of replacing my black rub rail with a white one also as I think it does update the boat. Even if there is a color difference I imagine it would be slight and likely would fade a bit over time due to sun exposure. Just my opinion.

I would personally rather see you paint it white. You can then add or remove graphics as you like.

If I go white all I need to do is sand off the imron and then buff. No painting needed.

I say go white.....then if it looks to bare then have a graphics guy print up some vinyl to match what is there now.....easy on/easy off.....best of both worlds.......

I'd say paint it, unless you are going to take off the side graphics too. For the rubrail, I would go white.
