Everything completely dead... HELP!!!!

I have the two wires that come from the hatch motor out from under the hatch... I put power to it and NOTHING!!! Normally I would only think that maybe the motor just went but the whole boat is dead!!! And wouldnt it be so that even if the hatch motor was shot I would at least get some spark or click or something... I have nothing at all! Complete deadness!
