When you install a crossover system you should also install a water pressure guage on the block. Your engine water pressure should not exceed 25 psi at WOT, this can be controlled by the bypass size and exhaust outlet size. I suggest you inspect the inlet side of the oil cooler and look for old impeller parts or debris. I just had a nightmare engine that one header would overheat at WOT, the engine always showed proper temp, the other header was cool to touch. After replacing everything in the system I pulled the oil cooler and could not believe how much junk was in the inlet side of that cooler and the engine still held temp. We backflushed it many times, the debris never showed but was there. I checked it with a mirror to find the debris. Good Luck.

Crossover gone, all problems gone!!! All temps are perfect on gauges, and with infarred, at manifolds, block, etc. NOTE TO ALL -DO NOT EVER INSTALL ONE OF THESE UNITS ON YOUR ENGINE! I don't care if you drill one hole or six holes in the stat. Run a 165 stat or no stat. Run a unit with a by-pass or no by-pass. Have a clogged cooler of no cooler at all. Feed from the right, feed from the left, run on a hose or in the water. THEY ARE TROUBLE! Anyone want to buy one slightly used cheap? What a freekin nightmare!
