changing throttle cable throw 31 sonic

My buddy just built new motors with carbs now and they use to be 502mpi motors now the throttle cable throw is way off do i just pull the whole throttle /shifter mechanism up out and is there different holes to put cables in to shorten the throw. the way it is now the throlttle is only 1/2 way and the carb is wide open.

Yep, use a different hole on the throttle controls.

Well i took it apart and there is no other holes to move cable to they are keikhafer throttles so now what new throttles i guess.

I have keikhafer throttles with carbs..give me a email and i will sent you a pic of mine..
