Default Help Diagnose 525 EFI Stutter

Hi All,

I just developed an annoying stutter today in my 525 EFI. I can be going along fine at any speed and suddenly ignition on all cylinders seems to shut down for only 1 second, alarm sounds then immediately ignition returns and boat runs fine until the next stutter. Almost seems like someone is flipping the kill switch on and off. At first it seems to happen only in rough water but then went on to happen in all conditions.

Besides checking every wire connection, what could it be?

Boat is in Tuckerton, NJ. Anyone nearby have a scan tool?

Thanks.

I had the same thing, ended up being the grey switch on the shift plate.

Wink

Could also be a"guardian event" alarm from the ECM. Have a scan tool put on the engine and read the stored alarm codes read if any and they will point to any issues that are kicking of "guardian".

Best Regards,
