Update: Traded my 69 Mustang roller for a built 439 BBC
Just updated all the gauges to New Livorsi along with GPS speedo
Paint is gonna wait another year
I need to paint the engine, find/build an exhaust, and swap it into the boat

are you sure you wanna go shorter stroke? that motor is made for 7500 rpm's. for 8.5 seconds at a time...

no, its designed for maximum of 6000 rpm, per the cam designer RMbuilder of marine Kinetiks.
Plus its a really light boat, and I love doing something different. Torque is not all in your stroke.

Ha! This debate is still going on! This is my old engine, and I promise you this thing will hold its own against any stock HP500. I had it in a heavy Formula 242 and was getting 69 MPH out of it. And no, it is NOT designed for 7500 rpms and 8.5 times and stroke length has nothing to do with torque. Its and old myth and thats it.

so how did it turn out, prop it to 5500rpm, even with the old motor it would prob hit 70mph, just cause you got a 25pitch dont mean it will turn it, 23to 5500 and see where it went i bet you would be happy,
