HOW much HP 604CI?
Well I getting close to dynoing my motors and my tuner not the engine builder is guessing between 680HP and 700HP he has run these on his small dyno to break them in only.
I was hoping for more like 750 plus HP. anyone have any knowledge of a setup like the one I have? I do not want him to be too conservative. The build sheet is below.
I have listed below my build sheet so any input on cams would be great. The goal is a low Comp motor running between 3000 and 5500 RPM.
604 CI motor build sheet
Below is a list of parts for the building of three 9:1 low comp motors
Merlin Aluminum blocks 10.2 deck 4.560 bore with cam bearings
Callies magnum pro series Cranks 4.625 stroke
Oliver billet rods 6.660 length upgraded bolts
JE pistons and rings JE tool steel pins
Cleveite H race M.B and R.B
Brodix Full CNC 332 oval port heads # 2038002
Inconel exhaust and stainless steel intake valves
Comp HYD roller cam and lifters
Jensel shaft rocker assembly
Billet timing set with Cloves alum timing cover and pointer
SFI balancer
Marine head gasket and SCE lower gasket set
Moroso oil pan # 20032 with pump and shaft wielded
Alum valve covers with cut corners to clear exhaust. No logo
Brodix intake spacers and distributor oil pump drives.

I would certainly think that 700+ shouldnt be an issue, especially with all the claims of 750hp 540's.
What kind of cam specs? Dont have to be specific. With a hyd roller and shaft rockers, you shoudl easily be able to turn 6000rpm and not worry about it. I know, because I spin my 598 with teh same setup to 6000rpm all the time. Plus, with that size engine you will have to spin it up there a good bit to make the most power, depending on the cam of course. My cam is a .647/.647 252/262 @ .050 112LSA. Makes power from 3500 to 6000. Comp lifters also.
That is some low compression. Setting them up for a little boost in the future??
