I'm looking to replace my speedo in my H2X. I'm wanting to go to a GPS speedo. I hear they are so much more accurate. I'm looking at a auto meter part number 200845-33
I'm curious to know whats all involved with hooking them up and how do they work? I can't seem to find much info. So i thought someone on here might be able to help me out.
Thanks
Ron

If you are lucky the new speedo will fit right into your exisiting speedo hole. Then, you need a signal source. Either an antenna or you can wire it to a GPS. If you have a capable GPS that would be best.

Installation is rather simple. I also think your on the right track with autometer. I had Livorsi in my last boat and I wasn't impressed with the build quality at all. the orange pointers were fading after a year and 2 of the bezels were popping off. I've no experience with Autometer but I can't believe they're worse.
