Whipples on 500's or 525's are gonna make 750 hp per side.

And yes Rik from Arneson knows of a few T/S guns running over 100 mph.

Just switching from Bravo's to Arnesons is a 5-8 mph pick up alone on a T/S.

Seems about right. TS gun w arnesons and 525's should be a 90 mph boat. Then add 200 hp per side should hit 100.

OK but the gun is going to cost say....125. then the drives 50 and then the whipples 15 plus labor. Seems to me that we are talking closer to 185K. Even after selling misc parts and drives

Speaking of that, in my brief search of the OSO ads it seemed the big power boats were not in the $125-150k range. Rather, they were in the $60-110 range. I assume the higher the price the bigger and badder the engines. But, what I saw were new boats with stock Merc blue power (and a few Ilmores).

Just an observation, not a judgement. But, if you are looking for a big +100mph rig, be sure to look well below the $150 range as you just might find what you are looking for there.
