I have an '85 Chaparral 235xlc its a merc 260/alpha combo and I have trim tabs with the joystick rather than indicators. I feel like one is dragging slightly. What can I do to get indicators and/or individual controls?

If you have Bennetts, they have rocker switch arrangement you should be able to replace the single joy stick with. Something you should be able to get from Boat US. If you check Bennett web site, they should show the rocker switch to get mounting size.
I would skip the Bennett indicators....they were a little dainty when I had them on a Formula. Just didn't hold up to the running, so ended up replacing them a few times. Probably a good idea on a Sea Ray cruiser.

thanks 32storm, now I'm not sure which formula your talking about but my boat has single ram, SS 10" (guessing) tabs and obviously isn't a true offshore boat. Biggest water it'll ever see is lake ontario. My tabs are sufficient?
