not supposed to run a hat, they are not CG legal as you will blow some fuel out thru throttle shafts, I can tell you procharger says elec pump w/ referenced reg....you have to over come the boost inside the carb to maintain fuel pressure....do you have the procharger manual ?? pretty clear in there...

DO NOT USE A HAT IN THE ENGINE ROOM,IT IS DANGEROUS.forget about a mechanical pump with a procharger, use aeromotive electric pump with boost referenced regulater, ive been there, nothing else works, trust me!

Check out Weldon Racing pumps too. They make some good stuff.

Talked to PC, they said there is no difference between running the carb in the box or the hat.. As it seems, I am not going to spend 5$$$ on a mechanical pump, as most of them are good to about 8psi, I will be well above that. So looks like it will be a electric pump.. Not thrilled about it, but if it is the only thing that will work, then what the hell...

You can always tie a warning buzzer or alarm to come on in the event you lose pump pressure.

just to add,,you will need to add jet extensions and notched solid floats...tuneing will be no piece of cake either, you will need to open up the passages in the metering block under the pv's according to which jet you use..auunlar boosters help also or a aerosol carb will be better of F the carb and go with this..

unless they have your engine on the dyno then i would have to say just a professional carb builder wont get a procharged carberator rite,,you will have to retune it once it hits the water..you will see how fun it is with the carb box! :drink:
