I agree with above...
You'd be better off building a new carbed motor from scratch with forged internals, than you would be messing around with an older cast 330 motor. You can add parts here and there and get power out of them... Some people even have gotten them up to 500ish alleged hp, but why? To me it's more of a challenge than a budget friendly goal.
If you'd be happy with more like 380-420hp you should be able to do that with a cam, intake, new oil cooler/oil lines, and large oval heads. Over 420, IMO, you're pushing it.
I'd sell everything you have, and start fresh. I would be willing to bet that if you get good money for your MPI/EFI system, and sell your motor for average coin, you'd be cheaper and better off starting new.

I recently went through this with a friend of mine. he has 550hp motors now and wants to go to 650hp. his original plan to "save some money" was to sell all the parts such as cranks, rods, heads, etc. and build stroker motors. I finally convinced him it would be cheaper and better to sell the motors and start fresh with new everything as the only savings was the cost of the engine block. as was said sometimes it is cheaper to spend the smart money than save the foolish money.

The 7.4L mpi FI will not be able to make that HP. If you change to rec port heads then the whole FI system is scrap. If you change the manifold to the rec port matching intake, IE the one off a 454 mag or 502 mag, you will need the whole injection system .. Not just the manifold. Your best bang for the buck and staying FI and being drop in is 1 sell the 454MPI for around 4500-5500 and buy a 496 HO for around 8500 to 9500.. The 454mpi is a great stock motor but makes for a poor building platform. The 496HO is not a great builder either but Rylar has been able to make a reliable 600hp out of them.. Cost is high but cheaper than a Merc 525 and it will leave a 525 in the dust.. Or Wake...lol
