Default Need help with merc silent choice

I've got the merc silent choice setup on my boat and it's leaking water around the bushing and seal where the flapper rod comes thru the side of the pipe, I've got new seals and bushings but I'm not sure how to go about replacing them. Can I do it ithe boat or do I have to take the diverter off and lay it on a bench? Trying to get on the water tomorrow and really don't want leaky exhaust if you know what I mean. Any help or ideas would be great.

I've got one that is dry as a bone and one leaking pretty good, do I have to remove the diverter from the boat to install new seal or can I do it like it sits and if so how is it done still in the boat

To get the shaft out where the seal is leaking will require removal of two bolts/screws inside diverter. You will have to remove to access. The seals are available through carquest PN 471442.

Thank you thats what I was needing, I've already got new merc seals but will keep the car quest number in mind for future reference as I'm sure they are cheaper than oem.
