adding oil thermostats, what is the simplest install?

Not sure of your setup, but if you just want to rig an oil thermostat into your existing system, this old picture shows an install that is about as easy as you can get. IMO, it is best to do this project with the engine out of the boat. Remember, an oil thermosat slows/controls the flow oil so generally you will need to upgrade your existing cooler so you can hold the oil temp in the 212-220 degree range....even at extended WOT runs.

This rigging isn't relevant because of your bell housing plate coolers. The oil filter mount & oil thermostat combo unit is nice but kind of pricey.
