That's what I've been trying to get out of you with a bunch of posts. LOL.

Reading all those, you'll see that I agree the 270H will make power to 5800. The 270HR will not.

The thread starter stated 270HR. That makes power to 5200rpm.

==================================

Another sidetrack since we got that straightened out, 300psi on the seat ? With a hydraulic flat tappet ? Was that a typo ?

Correct if wrong. The Holley 650 marine only came in a vacuum secondary model and was a QuadJet replacement model?

80552
650 CFM
Model 4175 Spread Bore; Electric Choke; Vacuum Secondary; Quadra–Jet Replacement;single feed

Thanks

Default SB are you the site Admin??

Reason for asking is that this cam (hyd roller XM270HR not the flat tappet XM270H) on a 5.7 with aftermarket heads typically runs strong to 5200 or so rpm.

The flat tappet XM270H has following specs:
Duration at .050 inch Lift 226 int./236 exh.
Advertised Duration at .006 lift 270 int./286 exh.
Intake Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio 0.480 in.
Exhaust Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio 0.489 in.
Lobe Seperation Angle 112

The Hydraulic Roller XM270HR has the following specs:
Duration at .050 inch Lift 218 int./224 exh.
Advertised Duration at .006 lift 270 int./276 exh.
Intake Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio 0.495 in.
Exhaust Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio 0.503 in.
Lobe Seperation Angle 112

Sorry for sidetrack, but TexasRPM has been answered on another thread.

I will have to pay attention next time to my duplicate threads/postings.
