before quoting out of context, and you would understand better.

Then don't quote me, if you mean someone else or something else.

My senior year of college I picked up a sweet '79 Malibu from a little old lady sporting the mighty 262 V-8. A real fire breather! Matched only by the 260 Olds V-8 I had in '76 442. It was a factory 5-speed car that ran faster in 4th gear than 5th because the motor couldn't pull the tall gear.

Nope. 1976 Olds Cutlass 442 with a 260/Dual-Jet and a factory 5-speed. It was blue with the lower part of the fenders/doors/quarters painted white with "442" in blue on the doors.

Good question, There nothing wrong with Bob Madera, but he had questioned some dyno numbers I put out a few years ago, based on the fact he did not understand how the dyno corrects data, at that point he has never admitted the dyno numbers were correct, this started the problem, now when you machine/ build/ and develop engines you dont want hear it from a guy that has had very little hands on engine experiance, now that being said, Ive allways wanted to get Bob, or Bill into a dyno shoot out,

Hey VP,

Figured I'd let you know where one of your 'buddies' stands with your dyno sheet's correction factors.

I've logged a few hours on Stuska's, DTS's, and Super Flows. Posted "rag" numbers with a correction of 10 to 15% don't fly with me. As a fella who makes parts for this industry, the ability to make real HP is a talent earned with years of experience not a few pages read.

Automotive advertising and marketing caters to our needs of power. Dyno figures in our industry are used the same way. . .to sell engines. A dyno I agree is nothing more then a tuning tool. It allows any engine builder the ability to check, change, and develop power to fit a customers needs. When knobs are turned, false data inputed, then it becomes a marketing tool.

When the dyno is at sea level and I see an 11% correction factor and DA was 1500 for the day. Yes I will stand behind that and call BS.

You are a hoot Scott.

So theres still some question about the dyno numbers, Bob you told me to present you with the data so you can decide if the numbers are right, I would very much like to take you up on that, I would appreciate it.

I can also respect that. I for one, was also "out of line" and apologize to you for my earlier labeling of character.
In regards to your dyno numbers, perhaps a good rule of thumb would be: crunch twice------post once.
