WOW!! I thought this was just a 454 peanut port head vs any other head with the same internals, small cam and carbs challenge. And the smaller runner peanut port heads were going to stomp the others. Now it is a most power out of a 454 challenge? (West Coast Dyno rules)
I love winter on OSO!! Fresh :food-smiley-007: who needs some? |

It sure isn't as nice as your dyno room. Hey lets roll out this car and roll in the dyno. |

If both parties are unable to agree on a dyno, I'd like to suggest a test bed.....................maybe a 22' foot Stingray with a modified Alpha..........:party-smiley-004:

I don't even know why we are going back and forth with this guy.
he makes all kinds of claims, but have'nt seen any of his engines, or anyone running one of his engines. We are talking about a 500-550hp 454 here. This guy calls Dave Wesseldyk at his shop to find out what correction factor he uses? Who the phuck are you to call out Dave Wesseldyk? That guy been building 1000+ hp blown marine motors while you were still whackin it to the pictures in hot rod magazine and buyin rapidfire plugs for your 1/2 ton chevy. I guarantee you that while your on here posting BS, Dave is either working on a turbine, rebuilding some arnesons, or dyno'ing a 1000HP blown engine, that will idle like a stock buick. Maybe he should put ditch the hemi heads on his psi blown charger, for some peanut port smog heads. Jacka$$. You remind me of one of those toothless hillbillies that comes up to you while your launching your boat, and begins to tell you he has a boat that will probably outrun yours, out of the clear blue. You humor him and say what you have? He says something like a 23ft Chris craft with a built up 351 ford and a alpha. His cousin builds motors and really beefed his 351 up. Ok, wow, thats cool dude, have a nice day. Take your 454 and peanut port heads and try to impress people somewhere else. |

I was wondering where the test was going to be run and for how long at what rpm? I haven't been able to locate that information anywhere. Anyone know? :grinser010:

I bet 10,000 dollars, that he doesnt have 10,000 dollars or shop to put up,and monopoly money dont count.

Mr. Vpro, go back and count the # of times you have posted the same "quote". I will be your friend and inform you that Zone 5 has multiple personalities and multiple screen names and is playing with your head. Hence the reason for you to post the same over and over. He has done this in the past to others. Stop and think why all the posts questioning your superior knowledge are basically all the same. Stay strong and keep posting your response. We are all having a lot of fun.

Bob/Haxby, I have a somewhat tired 454 mag that i will donate, but after you beat the pants off this guy, I would like to have it back. I would even pay for the rest of the parts that VP's 10k won't cover.

They will then run at 6500 RPM for 20 minutes (i highly doubt) under full load or until motor blows to smithereens. The oil, fuel, water and motor sharpnel and ensuing mess will then be cleaned up by the triple-trouble engine masters (Tripple digits,Roccard, Vortec pro). Their EXPERTISE will then show as they are ALL VERY familar with working as JANITORS. Bob Madera and Alex haxby will stay a safe distance away in case there is a FIRE after the motor exsplosion. They will laugh about their opponents follies and collect their winnings. If both engines finish then I do believe hell has frozen over!! the highest HP will win. I thought homeboys girlfriend bought the dyno for 6 grand and a stolen suv??
Dyno last seen on video survalance behind a red/black truck at a truckstop with the occupants consuming subway sandwhiches and slurpies. The dyno was partially covered by an Apache leather jacket and being offered for sale by a long donged duck with financing by jack hionis. |

Just catchin' up with all this---so, is this more of a CAM profile thing?---to see who's cam makes more HP in the same engine and still live? That would be interesting! Anyway, You think Dave Wesseldyk aka "DWES" might know something about making reliable power in a marine engine? I saw that a few people mentioned Dave's name here.....I think his shop would be an excellent place to have a dyno shootout (especially for endurance pulls) between Madara and this other guy. Obviously, it's not really the shop, but the guy who runs the dyno and seriously, Dave is all about no hype or BS....and he will not let any BS squeek thru the cracks either! I have always said Dave keeps a crying towel next to his dyno for customers who bring in their engines from other well known engine builders making BIG HP claims---or customers who have exaggerated/high expectant HP goals. Of course this sounds like more of a comparison shootout, but if you're looking for an endurance test I think Wesseldyk's dyno is set up for it to happen. |

I feel like I stepped into the twilight zone after finding this thread......
|
What a thread?
:argue:
|
20 minutes isn't much of an endurance test......OEM crate engines are step tested from idle to redline for 50 hrs. and OEM production engine validation involves 200 hrs. at WOT/redline.

This thread is a joke, Bob has more class than to smack talk. We know who the real pro is, too many of us use his cam. Bob would smoke you like a cheap joint :lolhit:

I'm pretty sure Mr. VortecPro has decided to run and hide as he always does. He's been very silent the past few days!:boat:
|
he is busy selling motors on ebay
|
Just got back from boating. Best time of the year for it as the water traffic is totally gone and they only keep a few police on patrol. No reason this time of year to pull back off the sticks. :ernaehrung004:
Which brings up 50% of why this thread suks . Was started from a big rude mouthed person that doesn't boat let alone enjoy them. We know the other 50% why it suks. What is up with that ? Maybe he is on NBA Players . com tring to get Shaq and Dwight Howard to play him one on one. |
i wish they made peanut port heads for small blocks. maybe vortec could cut me a set from a block of cast iron ,HMMMMMM:lolhit:

So theres still some question about the dyno numbers, Bob you told me to present you with the data so you can decide if the numbers are right, I would very much like to take you up on that, I would appreciate it.
