I am seeking for any advice, good or bad,on upgrades for the Mercury 500efi? Was thinking about putting a Pro Charger on the motor, but worried about reliabilty of motor afterwards!

as long as you have low hours and the valve trane is strong you could run many reliable years with the pro charger and have no issues..best bang for your buck..contact mark boose for the pcm tune..

I have not actually bought the boat yet,but have been in contact with current owner within last few days about the hull. It is a 32' Spectre cat with 500efi's,bravo xr drive on imco boxes, runs 118-120mph. Looking to get into the 130+mph range. I did have a look at the Whipple Charger also.

Eddie Young has a package that makes 600HP reliable HP.
You will retain your stock intake, oil coolers etc. When Dyno'ed it never touched the knock sensors with 91 0ctane gas.

I recall seeing a 30 spectre w whippled 500's that ran 135 mph. so im sure a 32 would run about the same. Probably faster.
