I have a JVC headunit. The remote is brand specific, but are available for a few other brands, Pioneer, Alpine, etc. Just gotta buy the right one for your HU, and that your HU is steering wheel remote capable (most car HU's are anymore) Not all stores carry all RF remote brands . I found mine thru a ebay store.

example....Alpine RF remote: http://www.woofersetc.com/p-8497-rue...ol-system.aspx

2 pairs each of the 6.5's and component 7.7's and one pair of subs. I have two M600/6 amps the 7.7's are connected to bridged channels and the 6.5's to regular channels and an M1700 sub amp for the two 10's. Sounds great and it is pretty loud. I had to reinforce the fiberglass where the subs were mounted though because it was flexing when I would play them loud.

Rob, I have no marine speakers in my boat & have had no issues!!! Clarion's upper head units have nice water proof water remotes you can mount anywhere on the boat. I have 1 back by my swim deck & 1 on the dash. They also have a wireless water proof that is supposed to work from 100ft!!

Bridged the M600/6 puts out 180W @ 12.5V and 200W @ 14.4V, they are holding up fine and i doubt i am actually using all 180W i have the gains adjusted so they sound good and play loud. I actually ran the 6.5's on bridged channels for a while before i added the second pair and they held up fine as well, a little lower gain setting than the 7.7's though. I have 2 M6450's sitting in my garage if anyone is interested.

Yep! The delay is a PITA too, especially with the volume. Can't just click it up a notch at a time.

they are 6 channel full range or adjustable with the built in crossovers.

At 12.5v input
45w x6 @ 4ohms
75w x6 @ 2ohms
90w x3 @ 8ohms
150w x3 @ 4ohms

they put out more power at 14.4v
70w x6 @ 4ohms
110W x6 @ 2ohms
140w x3 @ 8ohms
220w x3 @ 4ohms

they can be bridged and have the built in crossovers so they can be full range or have high or low pass cutoff. The also have the bass boost feature and remote bass control input. $200 each. If you search for JL Audio M6450 it is pretty easy to find the user manual online.

I run four JL 6.5's and one 10" sub in mine. I power all off a Memphis Belle 5-channel amp with a Clarion head unit. The JL's have a nice clean sound. The mid's would be better on the 7's but like someone said earlier...if you're running a sub you likely won't notice the difference. Been very happy with the sound. Not overly bright on the high end. The sub is excellent. Handles sub-bass very well. Better if you like the nice deep warm sounds of bass over the kicking kind...but handles that well too, giving a nice solid thump for only being a 10 incher.

Just make sure you run a solid amp with good cables. Remember...volume isn't what blows speakers...crappy amp that clips as you approach its limits does.
