525 EFI water drain plugs
All
This is my first winter to winterize my 525 EFI. It is a 2005 model.
The manual references drain plugs in 3 locations - on the exhaust manifold balance rail, the power steering cooler and the fuel cooler.
I found blue plastic wing nuts on each end of the exhaust manifold balance rail.
I found 1 of blue plastic wing nuts on the port side of the engine - I assume this is the power steering cooler.
I did not find the one for the fuel cooler - I guess I need to go back out to the boat and look. The manual says it is below the front of the engine. Is it directly in front and below the engine. Unfortunately, I didn't have the manual with me this weekend when I was winterizing the boat and changing the oil. I looked for the blue wing nuts but obviously this one was not readily apparant.
Also my previous boat had two plugs on the sea water pump but it was not a closed cooling system. This one has nothing on the sea water pump and the manual says to remove the hose to drain it. Is the reason for not having the drains on the sea water pump because of the closed cooling?

Yep I definitely didn't get that one. Thanks for posting the link. The schmatic looks like the drain plug is on the outside of the plastic cover - one can only hope, I guess!
I will go out this weekend on pull that plug as well!
Thanks again!
