Livorsi GPS Speedo Help

I've got an 08 Donzi 43 ZR with the livorsi gps speedo and it's not working. I'm pretty sure it's just the battery and I found a fix on here before but can't seem to locate the thread. I've got a Garmin 740s chart plotter. What's the best way to hardwire the speedo in so I can get it working again?

Connect the signal wire on the speedo to the NMEA0183 output of the GPS. Garmin uses the blue wire. Then go into the "COMM" settings of the GPS and set the output to NMEA0183
