There are many re-treatment products on the market. Some we are aware of and some not, but Ted G is correct. 303 High Tech Fabric Guard is the only re-treatment product we recommend. With regards to Thompson's Water Seal, while there are people who swear by it, tests by our Technical Services team indicate that it makes the fabric brittle. It's use would also void your fabric warranty.

Although Sunbrella and Coastguard are both acrylic fabrics, they are not the same product. For one, Sunbrella marine fabric offers a 10 year warranty, where as Coastguard only offers an 8 year warranty.

When researching a couple yrs ago, a suppler for Coastguard told us that both products came off the same textile mill.
We received samples from both brands and could not tell any difference, even when looking under an eyeglass, down to measuring thickness.
Thanks for the reply

You are correct about the production of the fabrics. Both are manufactured in the same facility, along with several other fabrics. Besides the warranty difference, Coastguard has a slightly firmer finish and a color selection targeted towards the marine trade (there are colors in the Coastguard line not available in Sunbrella). This not to say that Coastguard can only be used for marine applications – there are no problems using it for awnings – but that it’s manufactured and marketed specifically for the marine audience.
