Can anyone tell me the length of the lower shift cable? Thanks in advance. R.

not sure on the length, they only come one size as far as I know, just for that..not a std type cable, about 3-4' from what I remember..

+2 std length. I will measure one when I get home if you really need to know. Be sure to route it correctly because if you don't the coupler will saw through it real fast.

70" on the length of the cable itself. The outer jacket is shorter

It is not a standard cable. You have to use the Merc part. If you have not removed it yet, there is an easy way to keep it routed right. Pull the inner cable all the way out and re-insert it backwards so the little ball is up inside the boat. Now you pull the outer out to the outside while holding the inner up by the bellcrank (tape if you have to). Now thread the new outer onto the inner and it will act as a guide for the new cable. Once in place you can insert the new inner from the outside.

Don't worry, if he tries the sierra part he will be spending more$$ on the merc part anyway because he will break the drive end off everyone has to learn that one the hard way imo
