Thanks guys for the input. Dnyo guy changed timing, and AFR On last pull it made 978 HP with the AFRs right around 12.25 and the EGTs where in around 1300 to 1400 with 9.5 LBS boost. I need to go to bigger pully to bring boost down. He is going to check tune again on lake. Might have him make a little fatter? I love the HP but??
Thanks
Thanks

I have a 540 w/ 256 4 lbs boost @ 5000 rpm , dyno 645 Hp engines have 2 carbs each, no intercooler,AFR heads, Gil manifolds with A/F & EGT probes 8" above head, test day was 68 degrees, 38' V bottom 12,000 lbs , bravo drives, 92 octane, engines idle 950-1000 rpm
Total timing is 30 degrees @ 3,500 rpm +
PORT engine
A/F ( jetted 1 size lean than stbd eng) 12.0 - 12.6
@ 3,000 rpm 1200 degrees
@ 4000 rpm 1400 degrees
@ 5000 rpm 1425 degrees
STBD Engine (jetted 1 size richer than port)
A/F 11.2 -11.6
@ 3,000 rpm 1200 degrees
@ 40000 rpm 1400 degrees
@ 50000 rpm 1400 degrees
Going to install a MSD 6 AL programable to change timing curve, 8 degrees to start 16 degrees idle 34 degrees @ 3000 and start taking out timing 2 degrees per lbs of boost . Boost does not start until 4,000. the starters do not like it when the engines sneezes starting cold, trying to help that with less cranking timing. Just got the MSD box & software so I have some learning to do

V-6 module works for for a std curve. My engine likes to start with not much advance (keeps from sneezing) and idles well with 15-18 degrees. The difference in Hp between 1500 rpm & 5000 rpm because timing is off 6 degrees will be 15 Hp. But a better curve may reduce EGT.......and with the programable box I can take timing out when boost comes in. Boost retard using a MAP sensor is not new, this just happens to come in one box with no moving parts. The goal is to use timing and jetting to get the best A/F & EGT's. What ever happened to the days of just chasing hot chicks ...I'm getting old
