I'm curious though if anyone knows what snout lengths merc used on thier 525sc? Its seems my splined blower pulleys are odd and never fit the merc splined shafts people have.
I know there were 2 different kinds of splined upper pulleys depending on the year. Not sure on specifics.

Mine is a gen VI, the snout is 9'' and the spline shaft is 1.5'' from snout bearing.

The difference between older and newer splined styles is the offset distance front to back. The older style are toward the back, the newer style are toward the front. I have the newer style on a VI, don't have dims as the boat is in storage though.

The part number I used for the keyed shaft was a Weiand91180. Part is listed for the 144 blower, but it fit my 177 blower. $209 @ Summit.
