I think you added an X tra 0 on the gpm .... 20 I cannot think of any engine requireing 20 gpm oil delivery...could be wrong though....I know small block pumps the best being early Z28 @ 9 gmp at 7000 rpm

I ordered the Perma-Cool one from Jegs yesterday. I received it today. First thing I did was put it in some water on the stove to see if it would open before the water boiled. It did. Now all I need is the bigger cooler I have ordered from CP Performance. I was going to try the cooler without a thermostat but, decided to just go with the stat too, and do it right the first time. I can't see how it could do any harm and it is cheap, too.

The one thing I did that I think was a mistake though, was to order the installation kit. It just has hose barb fittings, some stainless clamps and some fancy zip ties. I am going to have the correct size hoses made to fit with crimped ends. The last thing I want is to have an oil line come loose and smoke the engine.

I have the Perma-cool stat. It works great and as all have said, it's cheap and simple. Check the pic of my setup.
