You're going to break them, Whipple probably sooner than Procharger.

Both Whipple and ProCharger make wonderful supercharger products. Its important though that you understand the differences between the two type of superchargers each of these represent ,so the "how and where" the power and torque will be delivered and how this will perform in your intended usage. ProChargers are centrifical superchargers and Whipples are screw type rotor superchargers and both provide boost differently in different ways.
My opinion is that Whipple is usually a better fit for a lot of marine engine users in that Whipple has done a lot of application development work and can provide more direct support for the programming and other issues that are important for a total properly working package.
With supercharging it is so important to get the engine fuel and spark timing as well as fuel delivery correct to provide a supercharged engine that will operate safely and give some reasonable engine life.
Use an expierenced shop with great references and successful previous projects to do this type of supercharger application, build and tuning.
Shops like Eddie at Young, Mark at Precsion in Kenner can and have done these project builds very successfully, are great tuners and are you closest choices in Louisiana.

Since you already have the Holley EFI that we used for the attached system we can save you some money over the Procharger. Take a look and call Mark at Precision. He has dynoed our stuff before and he is the best. This setup requires about 12" in front of the cylinder head, no increase in height.
