looks like a fuel filter? call the number on it and ask Gary Grimes since it came from him. he is still building engines here in North Georgia.

It had water running thru it, 1 1/4 fitting so i know its not fuel, its some sort of filter but not sure what kind

Fresh Water? Cooling water? Grey Water? Potable Water? maybe an anode internally or an Ionization filter? No other fittings or connections? Is it straight through? Does it look like it could be taken apart? Maybe some sort of strainer?
