Default swapping 380 kplane on 280 mounts?? mods?

Interesting in installing a set of 380 plans on my 280 plane mounts. I understand my 280 may have smaller hinge pin diameter and also different pin size on lower ram mount. What are my option/mods to get thes new 380 that I just bought on. Should I make a set of stainless bushings on new planes or drill my old 280 plane out and get bigger hinge pin. My 280 are from 1996 so I don't even know when they went to larger pins.....

Just tring to get some ideas...thanks

I can't answer your question about the swap. But, I will add to make sure your prop cannot hit the tabs. Try every angle. My 380's have a notch cut out for that reason.

Yes, I am aware that i may have to trim planes, thank you though, I have heard of people hiting props from not checking. That would be bad

I swapped my 280's for 380's. The 280's were from 2003 and the 380 tabs from 2004. They fit perfectly. I don’t know when they changed the size, but your only options are drill or sleeve them. I added spacers inside my hydraulic steering rams to avoid hitting the prop. Good luck!

Ya, mine are different size, I just measured, once mounted I will have to see how much I need to trim for props, hopfully not much. I think all 280s and 380s have big pins, and the standard 280 and 380 are small. These ones im installing are brand new...
