Will an Imco 2" shorty fit on a 1989 bravo 1? The drive on my Nova is BURIED!

it will fit but i believe you have too do something to upper oiling system.

You will have to compare the water passage on your old lower, there is probably not an island with an oil passage drilled in it. The Imco probably will. The lower would need to be tapped and a plug inserted to seal it off. Then it will work like the old lower.

You also need to shorten the bolts holding the cavitation plate on the upper.. they will hit the new lower..

It was a thought! i am sure with the drive buried so deep i could pick up some MPH. Thanks for the input!
