Fuel sender tube type
#1
I have bought a tube type fuel sender which needs shortening to fit in tank. Tank is v shape and 16" deep. The old vdo tube type sender is 14" long. Should I cut the new sender to the same length as the old vdo tube sender?
Thanks

I have the Livorsi sending unit. I think the instruction says cut the tube length to be 1/2 inch above the lowest part of the tank.If you had the pick up length 14" before ,you have to cut the new 16" down to 14".
We know size matters but in this case breaking the rule is OK ,haha

The one I bought is very similar to the livorsi one. I just thought that I would need to cut it down to the same length as the old one. I guess the shorter you cut it, the more reserve you have when you hit empty assuming my logic is right?
