Default 02 in lightning freshwater headers

Trying to weld in a 02 bung in my lightning freshwater headers, the collector area pretty short and super thick on the outside layer, anybody done this on these ? talked to lightning, they do them when new but will not after the fact..thanks Rob

Are you sure about that? I just talked to Lightning myself and sent my headers in for a leak test and repair. They said they would do an O2 while they were in.

I called them a few months back and the guy who I talked to said no..so ?? maybe it's who you happen to get on the phone ??

Maybe try CMI? They just repaired my CMI headers and welded in two A/F bungs and two EGT bungs while they were out there. I dont think they have a problem with repairing other manufacturers headers.
