Default Boom.. Blew a U-Joint at 40mph. Help

So I was cruising and had a bang and lost gear. Got towed (Thanks SEATOW) got it home and looked up and saw some carnage. The Bellows was destroyed and hanging down, my left trim sensor was hanging and metal shaft was sticking out. I looked up into the bellows and saw nothing left but the 4 way Ujoint going into the engine. Bravo still seems ok, I still have gear (prop locks when in FWD and REV). I will be pulling the drive to check and remove everything is there anything to look for. The housing has what looks to be a small chip right where it would tuck in against the trim sensor but other than tha, looks ok.

You won't know how bad it really is until you pull the drive. Hopefully you got lucky. We had one last year that I guy grenaded when he took a leap off a wave at WOT and didn't bother to throttle the boat - even after it landed and went kablewie. The carnage was complete enough that engine ended up coming out so a new transom assembly could be installed.

Most of the time the ring that the bellows lands on gets busted apart & a new transom assembly has to be installed or at the very least a repair to that land needs to be performed, as in a sort of ok fix involving a) plastic sleeve repair part or, b) a welded & fabricated piece. Most likely a new transom assembly isin your future.

Take it apart & see if this will work. You've got nothing in the boat, might as well see if a cheap fix will work.
I thought we were dealing with something of more value.

I tore it apart yesterday and got a look, it's not as bad as I thought. The center yoke blew but the drive is fine. the shaft into the engine still has the 4way on it and its fine, gmbal bearing is fine. I chipped the gimbal bell housing where the port hing pin goes in and need a new bellows. The transome plate and gimbal ring are fine. I have pics put cant post them on here. So I am on the lookout for a replacement bravo bell housing, If you have one for sale please let me know. thanks guys.

Same thing happened to me on my bravo 1 only at 60mph, everything had to be replaced... and im in need of a bell housing that the drive bolts to if you have one KR1276. The one i bought is an older version that doesnt have the reservoir lines.
