Default Gimbal bearing zerk

So I went to hit all the lube points on the outdrive housing, and found this as my gimbal bearing zerk..

Why is it there?

Someone has replaced the original bearing with the new no- greaseable sealed bearing. The Merc kit includes a set screw to replace the zerk so someone doesn't try to grease the new bearing.

I knew Merc had non-greasable bearings, just didn't think it through.

Thanks
