What all is involved w/ replacing this? What kind of cost to have it done? 1990 Bravo 1. Thanks for any advice.

Just had to replace both on my 96' Bravo I's thanks to a rock in the Florida Keys. Shafts are about $450. Shaft, seal kit and labor: $1,000 per side. I believe that I read you were considering having a mechanic straighten the shaft, not worth it in my opinion. Any runout and it will cause premature wear on the seal, never mind the vibration and subsequent potential damage to the rest of the drive. I just had to suck it up and replace 'em.
