Default Camshaft

I just wiped a lobe off of my flat tappet hyd cam after 20 min of running it. After talking to howards this is the cam we came up with

122115-14 NA 278 288 225 235 .595 .601 114 110 Hyd. Hyd. 1,2
The motor is a 9.2:1 468 with merlin heads performer rpm intake and a c&s aerosol 850 carb with gil wet ex it is in a formula 223 does anyone see a problem with this cam before I buy it. It is a hyd roller they also grind this cam on a 112ls . Thanks

I put Comp Cams flat tappet cams in my motors a while back and hosed the cams and lifters down with their red assembly lube stuff and I havent had an issue at all. The flat tappets work great for what I wanted out of them. As for Comps roller cams...I dont care for them. I havent seen any hydraulic Comp roller in a marine application that didnt start to lay down at approximately 4600 rpm. But if you are going to go with a roller, I suggest that you contact Eric at Teague marine and get one of the Teague custom grinds. Those cams are just plain nasty and work perfectly.

Better yet call Marine Kinetics and have Bob spec out your cam. His number is 585-654-8583
