Default formula for figuring what octane to use

8 to 1 compression with 5lbs of boost. out of a stock 454. whats the formula for figuring the EXACT octane i need? instead of just saying " preimium" gas. i think the static compression turns out to be 10.9

At 10:1 you could run a 102 but I think you would be able to run 93 and not hurt anything. Alot of guys will mix in 5 gal of 110 or so when they fill up if they want to stay on pump gas. Check out our site www.renegadepro1.com
