http://www.mercruiserparts.com/Show_...28849906A15%29 does anyone know of a source that can rebuild part #1 power steering pump for the 525 efi,if not what are my options,,,

Go to a wrecking yard and just get another one...car or boat...there is no difference.

i know that,s true for some boats,,,this is for a 525 efi,, mine dosent have the power steering tank attached to it

it's still just a late model saginaw pump, take it to a auto parts store and match it up, then change the pressure relief valve and spring over from yours to make certain you maintain the same pressure, it's mounted under the nut where the pressure line screws in, just remove nut valve and spring will come right out, swap with yours and roll on...Rob

want to have new pump first in hand,,,

thanks ez,,,found out the power steering pump that will fit on the 525 efi,,,is for a 82-85 Cadillac Seville 4.1 Liter engine,,and i will use my old pressure valve

did not know that particular app, but done it many times..at about 1/4 or less than the merc cost....and they don't touch them...
