Yeah, local shop did the winterize. It is a great place, with a great rep, nice guy who said he would make it right. I just want to make sure if we just put some plugs back in, that I truly dodged a bullet.
You can be sure I will run the hell out of it to find out.....

You'll either see water in the bilge or in the oil. Will happen quick too. On the hose in the drive way should show you what you have.
I've replaced several motors for customers up north yrs back due to this.
Also had twin inboards in my personal cruiser (also yrs back) do it to me. They were small block Chryslers though and popped the ones in the back of the block, in front of the bell housings. Was very lucky and that was only damage too.
Also lost a car motor when up north too. Same thing though. I knew instantly and was no disguising it.

Gone three trips and over 5 hours now. I dodged a bullet BIG TIME.
No oil problems still looks new.

Why not just pressure test it instead of taking the intake off and looking for a crack you are not going to see any way . Just a thought

happpen to me 2 years ago in my 502 only problem it was one behind the block inside the bellhousing so the motor had to be pulled ,replaced it and all was good no other damage alot of work for a 10 dollar part but i counted my blessings that it wasnt a cracked block and i was able to repaint the bilge while the motor was out
