Can anyone suggest a bolt in pick up that will work with the stock oil pan for a 454 Mag and a Mellings 77 pump? I can't find a thing!

I bought the standard press in pick up, but for the life of me I cannot get the stupid thing to press in. In my last engine I used the hardin XS pick up becuase I had the matching pan. That was a bolt on pick up and it was super painless!

If you want to use a bolt on pickup, you hae to get a pump that accomodates it.

By bolt in, I'm refering to the pick up that has a bracket that bolts to the bottom of the pump. The tube still is inserted into the pump but its not as tight of a fit. At least the hardin one slid in easily. I guess I'll have to try and find a store near me the has the tool to drive in the pick up.
