454 cutting out some times

454 cutting out some times
I looked over some posts on vapor lock, fuel issues and ignition problems and none seem quite like my problem.
I have a 96 454 LX/MPI that cuts out some times. It does not do it first run off the trailer or all the time. It seems to only do it after sitting upon coming back from a ride.
It starts fine always and idles fine then I go to plane out and it cuts out. I throttle back and it pick up and starts again but may cut out a couple more times. It does not die and does not do it all the time. It never doe sit with a cold engine.
I am new to the performance boat thing, so after reading posts I will try a few things. I will start looking making sure the compartment is cooled and such but any other sugestions?
