Anything with an R at the end is not going to have a lot of filtration capability .Like using a mask to stop a microscopic virus.

I have always considered Fram a low quality filter after I cut them open and found a mostly cardboard product. This filter however is a completely different animal. Seems to be better than any of the compatible filters in every way. No drain back but I do not need that. Looks like it just came out in 2017 so a relatively new product.

I'm not a Fram fan either. But they stepped their game up on this filter. It has good reviews on Bob the Oil Guy.

Have you ever seen any cutaways of the HP6? I never have.
If so share them.
I always chuckled because everyone bashed Frams, and for their run of the mill filters maybe so.
But seems every well respected engine builder would have pictures and there'd be a Fram HP6 on it.

Have not seen the HP6a cut apart. But several guys cut open similar filters just different part numbers. Check out the youtube video's, K&N looked good also.
