Default Subtle pop

Hi all, so finally have my milky oil thang fixed and was out running at all rpms....other than at idle I would get a subtle pop or backfire
, couldn't tell if it was up thru carb or out exhaust. Temp is good at 175' oil is at 50 running hard...bad gas?...had about half tank from last yr and filled up with prem

But sound of pop was real subtle ?
Cheers pat

Did you identify the source of the milkshake? maybe a valve either hanging up or not seating 100%?

Milkshake seems to have been solved with oil t-stat.........almost like someone hits a deep bass drumb, but hardly noticeable
